The death of an 11-month-old from Davis in May was ruled a homicide, according to the state medical examiner report released Friday.
An article that appeared on The Oklahoman Web site stated the report showed the child died from shaken baby syndrome.
Raven Koch, who was weeks away from her first birthday, was found unresponsive May 3 at a baby sitter’s home in Davis. She was taken to a hospital, transferred to another medical center to undergo surgery and died the next day.
Koch had suffered a subdural hematoma along with retinal hemorrhages and a soft tissue hemorrhage in her eyes. She had no broken bones, no damage to her internal organs and had no evidence of recently falling.
No one has been charged in her death.
