A Midwest City woman is accused of stealing thousands from an eldery neighbor.
According to newsok.com, 38-year-old Shelia Kaye Mitchell was charged Wednesday with five felony counts of exploitation of an elderly person or disabled adult after police said she stole more than $15,000 from her neighbor, 77-year-old Ruby Logsdon.
Logsdon, who suffers from Alzheimer’s as well as schizophrenia, had been missing money from her accounts. An investigation turned up surveillance of Mitchell fraudently cashing checks from Logsdon’s account. In total, twenty-seven fraudulent checks were written from her account.
